The facility will be extended to all post-graduate students of the university, University School for Open Learning (USOL), affiliated colleges and private candidates. Over 35,000 students who would be appearing for the December, 2013 examination under the semester system are expected to be benefited by the move.
While, the online system has not been made compulsory, it will be made mandatory from the next session.
As per the online system, post-graduate students can file their examination forms by logging on to the website – http://pgexam.puchd.ac.in, where the students will be guided to submit the forms.
The form itself will be submitted in two steps. The first step requires the students to submit their particulars and the second step involves downloading the bank slip and submission of fee. The students will also be able to receive text message notifications if they provide their mobile number. The new initiative is believed to benefit students in a big way.
All the under-graduate students of PU, its 188 affiliated colleges and four constituent colleges would be covered in the second phase of the project’s implementation.
